Face Lift Surgery Hawaii
Youth and beauty go hand in hand. This is especially so on your face, where smooth skin and lifted features can have a big impact on your appearance. If your face doesn’t look the way you’d like and you’re bothered by wrinkles and loose, sagging facial skin, then a face lift at Hawaii Plastic Surgery Institute, Dr. Bao L. Phan could be just what you need.
Reasons for Considering Face Lift Surgery
A face lift can be a fairly comprehensive procedure that improves several conditions. For example, it can address:
- Loose or sagging skin
- Deep wrinkles and creases
- Loss of muscle tone (causing jowls)
- Excess fat deposits under the skin and jaw
If you’re not ready for surgery, you may want to consider non-surgical facial rejuvenation including treatments like BOTOX® Cosmetic, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser skin resurfacing, Ultherapy and injectable fillers.
In most cases, our face lift procedures are performed using TIVA (Total IV Anesthesia), offering several benefits, including: reduced post-operative pain, reduced risk of blood clots in the legs, lower incidence of post-operative nausea and vomiting, and avoidance of “hangover” effects.
As the name implies, our Honolulu face lift patients have skin and underlying tissue lifted during their procedures. Excess fat and skin are removed or re-positioned. Our surgeons personalize the face lift procedure for each patient’s individual needs. Based on the areas you’d like to target, they will make an incision along the hairline from your temples to behind your lower ear, lower on the temples and around the ear, or wrapped around the ear to the lower scalp.
If patients would like to further reduce the signs of aging, Dr. Phan can work together to combine your face lift with other surgical procedures such as facial implants or Eyelid Surgery. One of the benefits of our practice is that two procedures can be performed simultaneously as our highly-qualified surgeons work together.
Our practice will make every effort to ensure that recovery is as comfortable as possible after your face lift. Our Maui surgery center even offers private bungalows for patients flying in from the other islands. No matter where you recover, you’ll need to rest and relax during the first few days after surgery so that your body can begin to heal properly. After a week or two, you should be able to return to your normal routine. Any scars that remain after a face lift are generally well-hidden and not noticeable.
